The Callaway X fairway woods feature the X-sole that we really liked from the previous X fairways.
On the new model it is a little more subtle but it still helps you get the club head square at address and the X fairway sits pretty comfortably behind the ball..
Everyone has their favourite Callaway fairway wood model, but after a few ranges that were a step back from the classic original war birds and steelheads, we feel that the 2008 X-fairways are back on track.
The sound and feel was excellent and the trajectory could be varied easily with an impressive level of forgiveness and good performance from the rough.
The standard versions of the X fairways have a nice deep face and a good variety of lofts to fit everyone's back. Well worth a try.
