What? The 2023 Memorial Tournament, his fourth PGA Tour win.

Where? Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, Ohio.

How? On a tough day of scoring, Hovland's final round of 70 was enough to earn a place into a playoff with Denny McCarthy, who led for much of the final day but could only make a bogey on the final hole. On the first extra hole, Hovland found the green in two and a par was enough for victory. Scottie Scheffler finished a shot further behind at 6 under par, with Rory McIlroy shooting a disappointing 75 on the final day to finish tied for seventh.
