Who? 27 year-old American Daniel Berger.
What? The 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge, his third PGA Tour win.
Where? Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas.
How? It was a topsy-turvy final day on the PGA Tour's return, with as many as 10 different players in the running to take the title throughout the course of the final round. Berger had set the clubhouse lead with -15, and was joined by young American Morikawa who narrowly missed a birdie putt to win on the 18th. Xander Schauffele suffered a heartbreaking lip-out on the 17th to miss out on the playoff. Berger was able to get up and down from just behind the green on the first playoff hole, whilst Morikawa's par putt caught the edge but didn't drop, giving Berger his third victory.
Following the victory, Im said:
"I grinded so hard to be in this position and I am just so thankful that all the hard work paid off."
