If you are a frequent driving range user, you may have noticed over the last couple of years that Topgolf's Toptracer technology is quickly becoming a must-have at golf facilities all over the world.
Indeed, as Sophie discovered last year, many people believe that technology like this is a preview of what all driving ranges will look like in the not-so-distant future:
For 2020, Toptracer has added even more enhancements to their driving range offering to provide a more comprehensive experience, whilst also delivering more for all members of the family.
Game-Changing Updates For Summer 2020
From this summer, visitors at Toptracer ranges can enjoy playing at 2019 PGA Championship host Bethpage Black, and 2019 Open Championship host Royal St George's, using the Virtual Golf mode.
Golfers can already play at the likes of Pebble Beach and The Old Course at St Andrews, with Virtual Golf adding that extra dose of realism to every practice session, allowing you to test yourself on some of the world's best golf courses right from your bay.
Completing the new developments for Toptracer's technology this summer is an upgraded Mobile Interface, including a new game mode. Capture the Flag is a 15-shot game which seeks to improve accuracy and consistency by challenging players to aim at real targets on their own range.
Child Friendly 'Go Fish' Game
'Go Fish' can be played individually or as a team of up to four people. Players bid to capture each of the 24 different sea creatures in the virtual aquarium, by hitting shots towards various targets on the driving range.
Players sign in via the Toptracer Range app to track their progress and compare scores with friends.
Toptracer President Ben Sharpe commented:
"We want to make the game of golf more accessible for everybody, not just the regular golfer. This is the next step in our journey to grow the game among traditional and non-traditional audiences and introduce younger people to our sport in an entertaining and engaging way, that'll keep them coming back for more."
