TaylorMade has asked the question, "How can we make it possible for fitters to choose from a variety of loft and lie choices in a single right and left-handed head?" Well, they have answered...
Introducing the all-new SelectFit Kit, a groundbreaking fitting innovation not previously seen in the industry.
Featuring the latest technology, the SelectFit Kit allows custom fitters to fit a golfer with the best-suited adjustments, whether that is three degrees flat to three degrees upright on the same head. Thanks to this new technology, the two lie adjustment sleeves and one loft adjustment sleeve create the impressive adjustability in this new system.
“The all-new SelectFit Kit is born from the mindset of TaylorMade being global leaders in customisation and personalisation and being fully invested in making every golfer at all levels better today than they were yesterday.
"We are very excited to be able to provide more iron models with more options to more locations across the world with the SelectFit Kit and are confident this will result in TaylorMade being the go-to for custom fitters and golfers everywhere.”
Tom Fisher, Director, TaylorMade Global Custom
The red and blue arrow system will still be used by custom fitters, who can now easily obtain a range of lofts and lies by still using the same SelectFit shaft matrix.
Once the sleeve is rotated and the lines are lined up, the new loft sleeves can be adjusted to as much as three degrees flat if the fitter starts with a standard lie and wishes to test a flatter alternative.
By matching the required red loft designation to the red arrow, the fitter may alter launch and spin to maximise distance using the adjustment choices on the loft sleeve. To provide a fitter with this amount of loft and lie flexibility in the past, would have required the use of 12 separate heads.
The SelectFit Kit is available at TaylorMade retail partners across the world, using the SelectFit Kit in their fittings on all TaylorMade irons, including the all-new P·770, P·7MC and P·7MB irons.
