The boffins at NASA wouldn't immediately spring to mind when thinking about golf shoe design, but Puma has taken a technology developed for outer space to revolutionise their TitanTour shoes.

The temperature regulating Outlast Certified Space Technology was developed to maintain a comfortable heat in spacesuits and now Puma are using it for your feet.

Puma TitanTour Golf Shoes

By placing the Outlast in the sock liner of the shoe the TitanTour pro-actively manages heat and controls the production of moisture in the shoe before it begins. The material absorbs, stores and releases heat to keep your feet at a regular, comfortable, temperature throughout the round.

Grant Knudson, Golf Head of Footwear:

Once again, we are pushing the limits of footwear innovation and style. The TitanTour provides even greater comfort for the golfer by pro-actively regulating heat and reacting to changes in conditions and foot temperature.

The fit, feel and performance of the new TitanTour shoes are specifically designed to meet the needs of all golfers at the highest level

Puma know that the headlines may be taken by the innovative temperature regulating Outlast, but the shoes need to perform to the highest level for the best players. The TitanTour features Puma's PowerFrame that encases the EVA midsole and gives the shoe a lightweight strength, flexibility and traction. This works together with the TPU Heel Support to provide all important stability allowing for additional force and power during the golf swing.

The outsole of the TitanTour uses low-profile stealth cleats made from a material called K5 for long lasting resistance to wear, and these combine with supplementary secondary traction, surrounding the cleats, to keep the foot firmly anchored. Flex is provided by grooves that allow the foot to move in a natural motion whilst still getting the necessary support.

Rickie Fowler, Cobra Puma Tour Professional, is certainly impressed:

The new TitanTour shoe provides all the performance, comfort, cooling and support that I need in a golf shoe, but better yet it has a look and feel that really fits my style on course.

PUMA Golf continues to make shoes that help me perform on Tour and keep me one-step ahead of my competition.

Fowler clearly appreciates the sleek styling of the upper that is made from a full-grain ultra-premium leather for a classy look and the PowerVamp across the forefoot reduces stretch overtime to maintain the in built stability of the shoe. Comfort is further enhanced in the upper and insole by a memory foam that provides the feel of a customised fit and cushions the foot whilst walking the course.

The TitanTour comes in seven colour combinations including a new Flash colorway that is made of a reflective material that gives the shoe a modern edge.

For golfers not wanting to splash out for the top of the range TitanTour the new Outlast technology is also available in Puma's TitanLite shoe. This retails at £80 and is a lighter weight shoe utilising a rubber outsole that still provides excellent support and durability.
