Puma launched its Ignite PWRADAPT shoes earlier this year, combining Ignite Foam comfort with new PWRADAPT pods that give a high level of traction for all the movements you make during the swing and around the course.
Now they are adding Hi-Tops to the Ignite Pwradapt family, showcasing the footwear trend kicked off when Rickie Fowler first wore Puma hi-top golf shoes in 2016.
Puma says the latest generation is the perfect blend of on-trend style and game-changing performance giving golfers the option of a shoe packed with innovation, comfort and stability in a statement making style.
Grant Knudson, Global Head of Footwear & Accessories at Puma Golf, explains:
Our goal each season is to push the game forward with products that challenge the status quo while respecting the traditions of golf. The Ignite PWRADAPT Hi-Tops represent this continued drive for style innovation and the evolution of a silhouette that’s become synonymous with Puma Golf and Rickie.
PWRADAPT sole technology uses 3-dimensional traction pods and responsive cushioning from the Ignite Foam positioned through the entire length of the midsole for the first time in a cleated shoe.
The distinctive Hi-Top look comes from an Evoknit knitted collar that further enhances comfort and replaces a traditional tongue for improved fit and breathability.
The design gives golfers optimum ankle support with the Perfect Fit Strap providing a customised fit and locked in support for each player. The Epic Tour last provides ample room for the foot, more volume and less toe spring, a design meant for optimum performance in a cleated shoe and the Ignite PWRADAPT also comes with a two-year waterproof warranty.
The shoe, available in Grey Violet or Black, also features a number of hidden design elements. The leather tab on the heel is stamped with the post code of Puma Golf’s Carlsbad’s Headquarters, the interior of the perfect fit strap features a cat skull with cross clubs, inserting an element of extreme sports into golf. Finally, the inside sock-liner has a large scale topographic map of Carlsbad which also points out the exact location of Puma Golf’s Headquarters.
