Living and working in beautiful surroundings can inspire you and that is what the location of Cleveland's North America HQ has done for their putter team.
Huntington Beach on the Pacific coastline of Southern California is their base and now also the name of Cleveland's latest range of classic putter shapes.
Brian Schielke, Senior Product Manager of Golf Clubs for Cleveland in North America explained the rationale:
Cleveland Golf is committed to helping golfers make more putts and have more fun on the greens and in the Huntington Beach Collection we provide real performance golfers can feel.
Each putter is made from soft 304 Stainless Steel for a better feel at impact because it is 51% softer than 17-4 stainless steel.
The Precision Milled face features a diamond shaped pattern that is rough to the touch and four times deeper than previous grooves on Cleveland putters.
This creates a softer feel and a more consistent roll so that you have more chance of holing your putts. Cleveland says that the smash factor, or speed off the face is reduce by 4% on the previous Classic Collection HB putters to give the Huntington Beach that softer feel.
The Huntington Beach Collection is initially available as two heel/toe weighted blades and a face balanced mallet.
The Huntington Beach 1 model is available in right and left hand and features the classic heel/toe weighting design.
The Huntington Beach 4 model is only available in right hand and is a similar heel/toe design with a slightly lower profile.
Finally the Huntington Beach 6 is a face balanced mallet features with a double bend shaft and larger head for those righties with a straighter stroke.
Each model is available in 33, 34 and 35 inch shafts with a Midsize Blue grip, or the fairer sex can opt for a 32, 33 or 34 inch shaft with a Midsize Pink grip.
There is also the option to upgrade to the oversized WinnPro X for those who prefer something thicker.
