Like the Callaway XR Driver the XR Pro has been built for speed.

The Pro version, however, has been optimised for the better player offering lower spin and a head shape that will appeal to players at the lower end of the handicap range.

Callaway XR Pro Driver

Low spin is achieved in part by the design of the Forged Composite crown in the XR Pro. This has allowed Callaway to move the weight from the crown to where it is required in the club to minimise spin and lower the centre of gravity.

Callaway XR Pro Driver

Compared to the X2 Hot Pro the XR Pro driver has a 53% lower centre of gravity and it spins 300 rpm. These numbers are partly made possible by how the crown works with the RMOTO face to maintain high ball speeds across the face and giving the level of forgiveness required from such a low spinning driver. In fact he spin of the XR Pro driver is similar to that of Callaway's Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Diamond Black when that driver has the weight positioned in the low position.

Additionally the Forged Composite Crown, which is taller and goes radically up and down and has a smaller 440cc head to suit the eye of the better player, is an enhanced aerodynamic head design that maximises speed through the air to be translated into distance at impact.

We've already mentioned the RMOTO face working in conjunction with the crown, and the it is the "Rib Technology" of the face that allows weight to be moved to increase ball speed and create more efficient energy transfer across the face. All of this translates to more ball speed across impact locations and allows for the low positioning of the CG for maximum distance.

Like the regular XR driver the XR Pro also benefits from a stock shaft specifically designed for speed through maximising shaft load during the downswing. In this case it is the Project X LZ Pro that creates a greater energy transfer to the ball although players who pick the XR Pro can go for other premium shaft offering for no extra charge.

The XR Pro driver features the OptiFit hosel which gives players 8 options of lie and loft to ensure that launch conditions are precisely dialled into their game to correctly harness the increased speed of the Callaway XR Pro driver.
