Duncan Patmore, Callaway EMEA Footwear Manager explains:
Our golf shoe business continues to grow and we are significantly expanding the sales network for 2018, so more golfers can experience the game-enhancing performance benefits of Callaway Footwear.
Our product development research has identified that our customers are looking for four very different styles of golf shoe, often owning multiple pairs in each category and our 2018 Collection reflects this insight. Men and women can choose from an extensive line of leather, waterproof cleated and non-cleated shoes; casual spikeless shoes and athletic, breathable shoes for summer golf.
Leading the way for men is the Xfer Fusion BOA, a tour performance level shoe that combines the world's first TPU hybrid outsole with a full grain leather upper. The Fusion 4x4 ousole mixes dynamic TPU cleats with spikeless permanent traction resulting in the comfort of a spikeless shoe without sacrificing the performance of cleats.
The shoe is available with laces however the BOA fastening system located on the top of the tongue provides a uniform closure for a comfortable and secure fit, keeping you stable and allowing better access to the shoe’s traction technology.
The Del Mar line-up includes the new Del Mar Ballistic, a lightweight and highly breathable shoe, that uses the innovative Ballistic mesh upper, a durable water repellent material that is hard wearing and comfortable. The Ballistic also uses an Opti-Soft drop in 20mm footbed for the ultimate in cushioning including an added Ortholite top layer whilst the Ground Control outsole is made up of multi directional transparent rubber traction units that work both on and off the course.
The Chev series includes a new shoe for both men and women, the Chev Vent, that as the name suggests, features a highly breathable mesh upper and is billed as 'air conditioning for your feet'.
The dedicated ladies Sky Series line up takes inspiration from the current 'Ath-leisure' trend blending sports styling with street fashion. At the forefront of this is the Halo Tour, a lightweight Tour performance cleated shoe that is both waterproof and breathable. An opti-shield mesh upper has a waterproof membrane backing and uses a 3D stability print for maximum support. The Halo Tour is also available with BOA fastening system.
