Like the Great Big Bertha driver, Callaway's Great Big Bertha fairway woods are a blast from the past.

Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway

In name at least because Callaway say this new version of the Great Big Bertha fairway wood represents a new level of fairway wood design resulting in an unmatched combination of speed, forgiveness and control.

The distance comes Callaway's Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup that we first saw in the 2014 Big Bertha Fairway and which has also been used in their drivers.

It is light and thin and creates faster ball speeds to make the ball travel further from both centre and off centre impacts to maximise distance consistency.

Taking the lead from the Big Bertha Alpha 815 fairways, the Great Big Bertha heads are bigger than typical fairways with the enlarged footprint allowing designers to increase MOI for greater forgiveness. The 3-wood head is 188cc, the 5 wood is 155cc and the renowned Heavenwood is 165cc.

Playability has also been increased as Callaway has added the modified version of the legendary Warbird Soleplate, that first made a comeback in the Big Bertha V Series fairways and makes it easy to hit from a variety of lies.

Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway

The Great Big Bertha is available in a 3, 5 and 7 wood options as well as special 20.5° Heavenwood and 24° Divine 9 options. Only the 3, 5 and Heavenwood are fitted with Callaway's OptiFit Hosel allowing players to add or remove loft and adjust the lie angle to fit their swings.

Callaway Great Big Bertha Fairway

The Heavenwood, with a loft of 20.5° and a shaft length of 43", and the Divine 9 that is 24° and 42" long, are specifically designed to provide perfect gapping options that are easier to hit and with a tighter dispersion than traditional clubs in the longer area of players bags.
