Bushnell are the market leaders when it comes to distance measuring devices, and this year they are unveiling their first ever GPS watch to feature slope technology with the launch of the new ION Elite.
Designed to provide the simplicity and convenience that golfers would want in their GPS watch, the ION Elite now features built-in slope calculations which provide golfers with even more precise yardages when playing into greens which may be above or below them.
A visible blue surround is shown on the screen to inform the golfer that the slope distances are being calculated and then displayed. This featured can be turned on and off in order to comply with tournament rules.
There is also an improvement in design and styling when compared to the ION Edge watch that we reviewed late last year.
The ION Elite is ground-breaking and enhances our GPS portfolio. This best-in-class, wearable device is part of our 25-year continuation of producing the best electronic measuring devices in the market.

The watch features large, easy to read distances to the front, centre and back of the green, and the GreenView with movable pin placement and accurate distance based upon the golfer's line of play.
HoleView is also included, which is able to give golfers a visual layout of the hole in process, giving a clearer overview of what lies ahead and is particularly useful for blind shots and doglegs.
The ION Elite comes with a battery life of over 12 hours, enough for three rounds of golf, a shot distance calculator and distances for up to six hazards per hole.
The watch is preloaded with 38,000 courses and is available in two colour options (Black and White) and available from September 1st at an RRP of £199.
