The Bridgestone J15F fairway woods and J15 HY hybrid are cut from the same cloth.
Sharing innovative features the fairway clubs looks to optimise ball flight and distance from various lies around the golf course.
The crown of the J15 fairway and hybrids are made from a high strength AM355 Maraging steel that is very thin near the clubface and then thickens towards the back of the head.
This allows the crown to flex at impact, imparting speed to the ball and creating a higher launch angle, meaning longer shots.
The speed created by the crown flex is maintained by the thinnest face that Bridgestone has produced. At just 1.8 mm the face ensures that the J15's give the maximum ball speed from the face allowed in the rules.
Spin and trajectory can be fine tuned via an adjustable weight port that is located in the sole of the club. This allows golfers get the best set up for their swings to give them maximum distance and control.
The ability to play a lot of different shots from various lies is essential in fairway and hybrid clubs and Bridgestone has reduced the heel profile of the J15 to lessen the possibility of any drag. This combines with lowering the back of the sole to promote a sweeping action when the club hits the turf, again making it easier to hit from different positions.
The J15F fairways will be available from Bridgestone custom fit centres and come in lofts of 13.5°, 15° and 18° with a Tour AD shaft and Golf Pride Red grip. They will retail at £199.
The J15H hybrids come in four loft options, 17°, 19°, 21° and 23°, and have the same shaft and grip as the fairway woods. They will retail at £159.
