The Nike Slingshot HL hybrids feature increased offset, making it easier for the player to square the hybrid at impact, resulting in straighter shots.
In the irons from 5 to sand wedge, Nike have introduced a variable sole width and progressive offset and have elongated the club profile.
We were big fans of the Slingshot 4D irons and this latest development has evolved to integrate hybrids into the set and move the Slingshot HL irons up the handicap list.
Compared to the 4D irons, the Nike Slingshot HL range is a lot chunkier and the extra weight on the back of the club certainly gets the ball up on a nice high flight.
The 3 and 4 hyrbids look more like small fairway woods than hybrid irons, but that is not a criticism as they too are very easy to hit. So if you need a forgiving set that gets the ball airborne, then the Nike Slingshot HL combo set is worth a try.
