The Nike Method Midnight is the third generation of the Nike's Method family, building off the success of the original Method and more recent Method Core putters.

Essentially, not much has changed. A new dark-chrome finish has been added but the look and feel of the putters is much the same as before. Nike will have you believe that the polymetal face is a breakthrough in putter face technology, and while we don't notice a huge difference at impact to other putters in the market, it did feel good, and give a strong, solid hit.

The dark-chrome finish is a nice touch and looks very solid at address. We would have preferred more of a matt finish to prevent the glare that can shine off the chrome finish, but it is very minimal and no worse that 90% of putters in the market.

Interestingly, the grips on the Method Midnight putters are very nice. Simple, smart looking, smooth and feel great in your hands.

Overall, don't expect anything vastly different from Nike's recent Method putters. This is certainly a cosmetic upgrade, than a new putter. However, if you do prefer traditional looking putters, the three models are just that and the new dark-chrome finish might just tickle your fancy. We thought the centre-shafted 007 model was our favourite and helped with alignment at address.
