This very forgiving driver is excellent value for the money. We tested the titanium version in 10 degrees, which is disappointingly the only loft available. However it gets it up in the air fine and the deep face allows you to vary the height of the tee to get different trajectories very easily. The head is a classic shape and sits very well, although dark blue is not our first choice of colour. Like most large drivers these days, the grooves do not go right across the face, which concerns us as there is anecdotal evidence that this can lead to the odd shot that goes nowhere if water gets between the ball and the flat face. I didn't happen to us in our test on a dry day but just so you know! The custom navy and black John Letters grip is soft and tacky, combining modern performance with classic looks. Good quality head-cover too.

The John Letters Trilogy driver is a good looking club which is very easy to hit. The ball comes off the club face with a medium to high launch and travels a fair bit. Didn't like the wrap around grip but that may just be a personal thing. Not a bad club for the money you're spending.
