Who? 37 year-old Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello.

What? The 2021 Acciona Open de Espana, his fourth European Tour win.

Where? Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, Madrid, Spain.

How? Cabrera Bello, who had dropped down to number 231 in the World Rankings after failing to record a top 10 finish since January, won on home soil by beating fellow compatriot Adri Arnaus on the first playoff hole. Despite opening with a double bogey, Rafa fought back to card a final round of 69 which included three consecutive birdies from the 13th to force the playoff. Grant Forrest, Julien Guerrier and Shubhankar Sharma finished two strokes back in a tie for third place at 17 under par.
