For years golf manufacturers have been searching for a way to make golf easy.

Mizuno have taken that challenge literally, introducing their new Mizuno JPX EZ irons.

Complete with two different variations of cavity back design, the JPX EZ irons are designed to hit the ball high and long, with plenty of forgiveness.

“The JPX EZ is going to turn you into a player who can take risks - someone who can take the shot on and not think about the danger. You’re going to hit shots that you’ve never been able to hit before.” Chuck Couch, Mizuno's Director of Product Development.

Featuring a new matt black, low glare finish, the Mizuno JPX EZ irons blend two different head constructions into one forgiving set for the aspiring player.

The 4 to 7 irons feature Mizuno's MAX COR ultra pocket cavity design. Simply put, it is the larger of the two cavity back designs engineered to move the centre of gravity deep and low in the clubhead producing a larger sweetspot for an easier launch.

Mizuno JPX EZ Irons Cavity Design

The 8 iron to pitching wedge feature an EZ Deep Pocket cavity, which is slightly smaller and designed to maintain a large sweetspot whilst increasing accuracy and control in a golfer's 'scoring clubs'.

Mizuno have always placed a heavy importance on the sound and feel of their irons, right the way from better-player 'MP' irons to their more game-improvement 'JPX' or 'MX' irons. That tradition is continued in the JPX EZ iron.

Using what they call Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T), Mizuno's engineers shape the head of each irons to carefully tune the sound and feel of the club.

Enough about the back of the club, what about the face of the JPX EZ iron?

Well, Mizuno call it their Hot Metal Face. The face features varied levels of thickness behind it in order to produce the maximum levels of COR (coefficient of restitution), or bounce/spring off the face. By adding thickness specifically to where it is needed beneath the face, the JPX EZ iron is better suited to producing long, consistent distance.

If you are getting a set of JPX EZ irons, you have the option to mix and match your set, with either the JPX EZ Forged irons or a JPX FLI-HI long iron replacement.

Standard sets come in two different specficiations: standard and plus half an inch in length, two degrees upright.
