A recent online poll conducted by Golfalot.com, the UK’s leading specialist golf website, asked UK golfers to join the one of the sports hottest debates and vote on the question of whether St Andrews should fall in line with all the other Open Championship roster courses and host the tournament on a rotation basis as opposed to being awarded the event every 5 years.

The results indicated a strong wave of opinion with 62% supporting strict rotation with only 28% in favour of a guaranteed 5 year slot.
