The Ping Tour-W wedge is a much more conventional looking wedge than your normal Ping irons.

From a variety of lies the club performed very well and even though there are tungsten weights placed in the back of the head, you did not really feel them when swinging the club and the overall weight felt good.

The variations in bounce meant there was a club for every lie and even from very tight lies the club slipped under the ball easily. The Ping Tour-W wedge delivered some lovely floating shots that sat down very quickly so the feel was very good for a cast club, but probably not as good as a premium forged wedge.

For Ping die-hards, the Tour-W wedge is the best wedge they have produced to date.

Reall impresses around greens. Traditionalists may prefer thinner topline.
