The Nike Pro Combo OS irons build on the Nike Pro Combo idea to have a progressive set of irons, this time for the higher handicapper, but we are not sure that it works.

Certainly the longer Pro Combo OS irons with the deep undercut are very good and provide a nice sound and feedback for players requiring more assistance in the long game.

However as you go down the set the deep undercut cavity becomes a full cavity in the mid irons, which is still good, but not as nice to hit as the longer irons.

Then the short irons become a muscle back cavity, which in comparison to the others in the set, feels a bit dead and makes totally different duller sound at impact which is disappointing.

We understand what Nike are trying to do with the Pro Combo OS and think it is good effort, but for these irons and this market, a full set of the deep undercut irons would in our view have been a better idea.

Changed from Nike Slingshots to Titleist 690cbs and finally to Nike Pro Combo OS and so happy I did. The long irons are the easiest I have ever hit, mid irons very accurate and short irons deadly. Forgiving club, but still workable. The quality is exceptional and they are way better than the Slingshot line in my opinion.
