The Cobra S3 Max irons may have just created a 'super game-improvement' category in irons.

The oversized heads and heavy offset combined with a lighter club weight and wider sole than the standard S3 model, make the S3 Max irons easy on the eye and easy to get in the air.

We didn't notice a huge difference in forgiveness when comparing them to the S3 models, but the rail-sole will offer more forgiveness for players that find themselves in the rough more often than not.

The option of the 5 and 6 hybrid, in addition to the 4, was a nice addition and will appeal to those golfers who struggle with longer irons, although we found the longer irons in this set very forgiving.

The Cobra S3 Max irons are really designed for golfers who have an ‘accuracy challenge’ or those with slow swing speeds where the hybrid irons will give them some extra help getting the ball in the air.

Considering that they do exactly what they promise and for golfers who need the help these certainly deliver.

August 2016

Bought a set of these irons last month on eBay. Have been pleasantly surprised with their distance and accuracy. I've been playing golf for 10 years and got my first hole in one the second time out with these irons. I've had TaylorMade RAC and RBZ irons and like these better. A friend rented a set of S2 Max and hit them better than his RBZ's so I bought a like new used set of S3 Max and have been glad I did.

I have had these for 2 years now and they are womderful clubs. I constantly beat the tar out of my buddies who have $1,000 or more invested in their clubs. Don't waste your money, put your ego aside and get the S3 Max irons and you will not be sorry.
