If you find the standard Trusty Rusty wedge a little to hard to handle, then you will find the Big Trusty Rusty Wedge more to your likely. The large, almost oversized head gives you lots of confidence and the wider sole is a lot more versatile if you are someone who plays on lush parkland courses most or all of the time and occasionally on links.

Due to the wider sole there is more heel and toe relief on the Big version which makes opening up the face to vary the level of bounce a little easier. The sound and feel is very good and the spin from the grooves is up there with the best in the market. The cool looking all black shaft is a light Cobra steel shaft and adds a professional look to your bag

The untreated finish will rust over time and there are 3 choices of head colours, all with little flashes of Cobra's new orange look. The satin chrome head with the rust coloured face and white lines looks a bit odd to us with the black shaft, but some will like the contrast. The full rust coloured option is good, although with both versions the rust paint will wear off quite quickly.

Our preference is for the all black PVD finish which compliments the shaft and the Big Trusty Rusty will give mid to high handicappers a good looking, forgiving and easy to play wedge across a variety of courses and lies.

I got three of these just after Xmas and have now had a chance to test them fully. I got the 50/55/60 in black finish as they were on offer at the time. These are really good wedges! I have been surprised at how much spin I get with them and my playing partners have also noticed the check on chip shots.

The larger head size gives a lot of confidence at address especially on full shots but they still feel soft. They also launch high and flop shots are no problem with these. The components are the usual high quality cobra stuff and I particularly like the grips which are longer and the same thickness all the way down as this makes gripping down easier. I can't fault these and they will be in my bag for a very long time.
