Who? 27 year-old New Zealander Lydia Ko.

What? The 2024 Olympics Golf Gold medal, her third Olympic medal and second victory of 2024

Where? Albatros Course, Le Golf National, Guyancourt, France.

How? After winning silver in Rio and bronze in Tokyo, Lydia Ko finally added gold to her collection after holding her nerve to win at Le Golf National, shortly before being named to the LPGA Hall of Fame. Ko looked like she was cruising to victory after opening a five shot lead on the back nine, but a double bogey on the 13th added plenty of drama and the New Zealander reached the 18th just one stroke ahead of Esther Henseleit, before making a closing birdie to eventually win by two shots.
