Who? 27 year-old American Jordan Spieth.

What? The 2021 Valero Texas Open, his 12th PGA Tour victory.

Where? Oaks Course, TPC San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas.

How? After three months of consistently good golf, including near misses at Pebble Beach, TPC Scottsdale and Bay Hill, Spieth finally confirmed that he is back among the game's very best with victory in his native Texas. Starting the final round tied for the lead with Matt Wallace, the event became a three-horse race with Charley Hoffman joining them in the chase. Two clear at the turn, Spieth was made to work by Hoffman all the way to the 18th green, where he eventually made a comfortable par for a closing round of 66 and his first win in over 1,300 days.
