Who? 39 year-old Australian Adam Scott

What? The 2020 Genesis Invitational, his 14th PGA Tour victory.

Where? Riviera Country Club, Pacific Palisades, California

How? On a difficult final day which saw overnight leader Matt Kuchar and favourite Rory McIlroy falter, the experienced Scott stood firm with a typical exhibition of strong ball-striking. A 1-under final round of 70 was enough to give him his first PGA Tour victory for nearly four years, and his second win at Riviera. Scott jumps back into the World Top 10 for the first time since 2017 and adds to the growing list of successful Australians this season already.

Following the victory, Scott said:

“I like to starve myself a little bit of competition and make sure that I'm ready to come back out here. It's amazing. I've loved this place from day 1 and it was tough out there. I'm stoked for this. It's a big step. Whatever point in my career I'm at I hadn't won for three years. This feels very special."
