When you're as successful as Scotty Cameron, you're probably quite used to picking up a newspaper on a Monday morning and seeing that at least one player from the biggest golf tours has won an event using one of your putters that week.

Scotty Cameron Champions Choice Putters

Scotty has become so used to helping players win major championships and other huge tournaments that he has decided to introduce three new models as part of a Champions Choice range which celebrates one of his most iconic designs.

The putters combine the tour-proven shapes of the Special Select family with an integrated Teryllium insert and the instantly recognisable 'Button Back' setup, as well as unique graphics and accessories designed to celebrate the rich history of winning that is associated with Scotty Cameron putters.

An insert with a noticeably soft feel, the use of Teryllium in the Button Back models indicates the continued popularity of this insert which was used by Tiger Woods at the start of his professional career.

The traditional elastomer material of the original Button Back putters has now been accompanied with new vibration dampening material placed between the face insert and the putter head.

We've had a very good run over the past 25 years with tour victories, and major championships in particular. After the incredible response we received from the Teryllium T22 Limited Release, and with back-to-back US Open wins (2017 and 2018) with a Button Back, I had the idea for Champions Choice as a way to bring the Button Back, but in a new, modern way.

As we were designing and manufacturing the Special Select line, upgrading and refining our blade and mid-mallet shapes, the Champions Choice project endured. Now I'm finally ready to showcase it and offer three very special new designs based on everything we've done to refine the Special Select line, but with the Teryllium inlay and the Button Back look.

I love this design, as Champions Choice celebrates the tour victories players have racked up over the years using our putters, while also offering dedicated golfers the same level of playable performance.

Champions Choice Newport Button Back

The new Newport Button Back is said to pay homage to the 'spirit of the original design', albeit with a number of new refinements. The shape is based on the current Special Select Newport model and includes a silver misted stainless steel finish, flat topline and performance balanced tungsten weights paired with the Teryllium insert.

Champions Choice Newport 2 Button Back

Inspired by the putter used by Brooks Koepka to win back-to-back US Open titles in 2017 and 2018, the Newport 2 Button Back brings together the soft feel of a Teryllium inlay with the updated shaping and performance of a modern Newport 2. Milled from 303 stainless steel with customisable sole weights and a player preferred, narrower topline.

Champions Choice Flowback 5.5 Button Back

A classic rounded profile with a slantback neck inspired by the prototype putters made by many of the top players in the world. Angled back towards the heel, the neck is designed to offer more toe flow and almost a shaft's worth of offset. The mid-mallet features both the Teryllium inlay and a 6061 aluminium sole plate to save weight.

Scotty's silver misting process produces a glare-resistant sheen which means it is usable and practical in any light. The classic three-dot design on the back cavity of the putter head now features red, white and blue accents around the screw heads, and this carries through to the stripes designed into the face and sole of this limited offering.

Each putter comes with a matching Button Back Limited headcover in the same red, white and blue colour scheme and includes a grey Pistolini Plus grip with black lettering.

The models will be available worldwide from 6th August, and they are priced at £599 SRP.
