PXG have introduced the third generation of their Sugar Daddy wedges, with the Sugar Daddy 3 joining the 0311 GEN7 and Black Ops irons that were introduced as part of their new range for 2024.
The 100% milled wedges feature a precise construction, new wide groove pattern and three different sole options to provide both control and accuracy in a range of playing conditions.
The Sugar Daddy 3 wedges are triple forged and made from a high-strength 8620 soft carbon steel, creating a tight grain structure which increases its strength, extends the life of the grooves and improves both the feel and appearance.
They feature a unique wide groove pattern, which can give golfers more control and consistency specific to trajectory and spin rates. This provides a groove edge which can engage with the cover of a ball deeper, and provide 25% more volume in cross-sectional areas compared to competitors.
It helps to improve friction in dry conditions and produce more spin, whilst the wider groove also displaces water and debris to give you more traction and maintain spin in wet conditions.
Precision Weighting Technology is placed near the centre of gravity on the back of the head, which can be adjusted in 2g increments during fitting. It allows golfers to experience different head weight configurations, for optimal performance.
The new Sugar Daddy 3 Wedges now offer three different versatile sole designs:
BP Grind (12): A high toe design with full face grooves, ideal for lush turf and soft sand conditions or golfers who have a steep angle of attack.
There's a wider sole, with 12 degrees of bounce, and a slight tape from heel to toe for added bounce and maximum forgiveness.
S-Grind (10): Designed for versatility across all playing conditions, the S-Grind features a classic head shape and grooves with a traditional sole, and a bounce angle that tapers from heel to toe.
This creates a moderate bounce for versatility in both square or open playing positions.
C-Grind (07): Features a classic head shape and grooves, a narrow sole with 7 degrees of bounce, and an aggressive taper from heel to toe for greater versatility.
It's best suited to skilled golfers who want more creativity to hit a variety of shots around the green.
The PXG Sugar Daddy 3 Wedges are available from 50 to 60 degrees, and priced at £279 for the Chrome finish and £329 for the Xtreme Dark finish.
