Despite being established less than 10 years ago, PXG have already made some pretty big waves in the golf equipment industry and their sixth generation of the 0311 range has just arrived, promising the 'most impactful precision weighting system in the golf industry'.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Range

The latest generation of woods and irons has seen a specific focus on improving performance on mishits, and the brand's extensive fitting process allows golfers of all ability to see performance benefits.

"We've considered every detail and pushed the designs, materials, and technologies to the extreme in developing our new PXG GEN6 Golf Clubs. Our irons, which many people said couldn't get any better, are faster, longer, and more accurate. In fact, they might be the finest irons ever made by anyone. And I also believe we've developed the best driver in the market."

Bob Parsons, PXG Founder & CEO.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Drivers

The 0311 GEN6 Driver is engineered to deliver forgiveness, distance and tight dispersion (like most other drivers in the world) and is available in two different models to suit golfers of all skill levels.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Range

The standard 0311 GEN6 features a traditional teardrop head with a curved crown structure and shorter body from front to back. The face is taller and deeper, designed to improve performance on mishits, particularly when struck from higher on the face.

The 0311 XF GEN6 has a larger, more symmetrical head shape than the standard model. This is designed to make it easier to square the face at impact, for a blend of distance and forgiveness.

The driver face is made from a high-strength Ti412 titanium alloy, which helps to generate high face deflection to create ultra-fast ball speeds.

The internal face structure contains variable thicknesses that helps to reduce mass, support maximum ball speeds and increase durability.

Both drivers come with interchangeable, adjustable sole weights (2.5 grams and 7.5 grams) to help tailor spin and ball flight.

The drivers are available at an RRP of £469 and come in 7.5, 9 and 10.5 degrees for the standard model, or 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees for the XF.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Fairways & Hybrids

The GEN6 Fairways and Hybrids feature an ultra-strong HT1770 stainless steel face, as well as a high-speed squared face design which shifts the perimeter more vertically to increase the surface area and add more forgiveness.

The 0311 Fairway has a low profile and a flat sole, suitable for all golfers. The fairways are easy to launch and offer distance, tight dispersion and an improved sound and feel.

The O311 XF Fairway is developed for the golfer who desires maximum forgiveness. The large, square face provides a bigger hitting zone for more off-centre forgiveness and faster ball speed. There's also a Railed Sole which improves turf interaction.

The 0311 Hybrid is an easy-to-hit and low-spin option, featuring an innovative head shape which lowers the centre of gravity to produce a higher launch and better spin performance.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Range

The 0311 XF is the more forgiving option with a confidence-inspiring aesthetic. There is a Railed Sole and large square face which delivers enhanced turf interaction, a higher ball flight and better distance.

The standard GEN6 Fairways (£309) and Hybrids (£289) have one light (2.5g) and two heavy (10g) adjustable sole weights, while the XF models present one light (2.5g) and one heavy (15g) weight for fine-tuning.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Irons

The new five-times forged irons feature a clubface that is 15% thinner than the 0311 GEN5, ensuring that the brand retain their title as the 'thinnest face in golf'.

The milled HT1770 Variable Ultra-Thin Face saves about 5 grams of mass that are repositioned low and further back in the club head, increasing the MOI and improving the CG.

This face, and the milled Power Channel Technology increase the face deflection for ideal launch and better performance on mishits.

PXG's XCOR2 material is on the back of the clubface, and this high-speed resin core is injection moulded into the cavity of the clubhad to provide more stability to the clubface and increase ball speed performance.

The brand say that this makes the GEN6 irons the longest, most forgiving clubs that PXG has ever released.

There is a large weight located near the CG at the back of the clubhead, which fitters can use to dial in the optimal swing weight.

PXG 0311 GEN6 Range

The PXG 0311 GEN6 Irons are available in two different models - Players (P) and Xtreme Performance (XP).

The 0311 P irons provide a balance of workability and forgiveness. They are designed for low to mid-handicap players, with a moderate offset and a mid-size head design a clean aesthetic.

The 0311 XP irons are designed for mid-to-high handicappers and feature a larger head with more offset to deliver a soft feel, extreme distance and excellent forgiveness.

The irons are priced at £209 per club and available from 4-GW in the 0311 P, and 4-LW in the 0311 XP.
