Puma's TitanTour Ignite golf shoe builds on the success of the TitanTour range by adding bounce with the inclusion of foam.

Puma TitanTour Ignite Golf Shoe

The TitanTour Ignite is built around, and named after, Puma's Ignite Performance Foam that it has integrated into the shoe to provide what they describe as a combination of comfort and performance.

During the manufacturing process, a liquid Polyurethane blend is poured into a mould the shape of the insole resulting in a foam that has a high support factor and a high compression set that results in minimal deformation over time.

The Foam is a superior cushioning material that acts to disperse impacts and then rebounds to stay responsive for hole after hole and it dovetails with the TitanTour Ignite's premium dual density insole that is gel moulded, and provides an extra layer of cushioning under the heel and ball of the foot.

The Ignite foam is not the end of the story however with the TitanTour Ignite boasting a range of technological features all designed to aid comfort and performance.

The upper is made from an ultra premium leather that aids performance, comfort and provides the durability only found from quality leathers. The upper is supported by a framework that includes an external TPU heel with integrated medial and lateral wraps to hold the heel in place for improved stability. This works together with Puma's Power Frame which we saw in the original Titan Tour. This is a thin TPU frame that encases an EVA midosle to give a lightweight strength and durability to the shoe with increased flexibility to support your golfing action.

The story behind the original TitanTour was the space inspired PWRCool material incorporated in the insole and inside of the shoe that is designed to absorb, store and release heat to maintain a comfortable temperature for your feet. This was a feature that certainly impressed during our tests so its no surprise that this has continued to the new shoe. This model also has a newly shaped last that gives a sleeker shape to the shoe for a better fit, comfort and look. Golfers can also customise the look of the Titan Tour Ignite as each pair comes with two sets of laces.

The sole of the shoe shows some of the cushioning Ignite foam in the heel as well as a number of features to boost stability and movement through the swing. The outsole has a feature that Puma call Duoflex, anatomically positioned flex grooves that allow the foot to move naturally, as well as supporting the main traction feature, GripZone.

The GripZone are multi-directional walls of secondary traction that surround the cleats and work with them to give a high level of grip and stability to the shoe throughout the swing. The cleats in the TitanTour Ignite are a new design of the Stealth Cleat that has a lower-profile and uses a K5 material for longer lasting abrasion resistance.

The TitanTour Ignite is available in six, colourfully named, colour combinations: White/Surf The Web/Green Gecko, Black/White/Atomic Blue, White/Vibrant Orange/Drizzle, White/Black/Drizzle, Black/Steel Grey and White/White/Black.
