The PING Nome is the latest putter to get the True Roll makeover, as PING introduce the Nome TR putter.

PING's TR series of putters feature the market's first variable-depth grooves that are milled directly into the face. The grooves are deepest in the centre and get shallower towards the edges of the face promoting consistent ball speeds.

PING's research showed that the TR grooves improved consistency by nearly 50% across nine points on the face.

The original PING Nome was launched last year. The upgraded TR model features a 350g head milled from high-grade aircraft aluminium. Featuring a new matte-black body, white alignment bar and a contrasting black sightline, the Nome TR is built for forgiveness.

The high MOI performance comes from the balance of the lightweight head design combined with tungsten-composite perimeter sole weights.

The PING Nome TR is part of Ping's Fit for Stroke system, that fits the shaft bend on the putter to your stroke, either Straight, Slight Arc or Strong Arc.

Golfers can choose from either a standard, fixed length Nome TR or pay more for a telescoping shaft that can be adjusted from 31 to 38 inches.

"When golfers are properly fit for correct putter length, our studies shoe they're much more accurate and consistent", PING's Chairman and CEO, John A. Solheim.
