Odyssey are kicking off 2023 by announcing a return of their popular Versa putter line, with a primary goal of helping golfers with their alignment on the greens.

Odyssey say that this is one of the most overlooked areas of putting, and hitting a putt just one degree offline can be the difference between making and missing it.

The Versa line returns thanks to input from Tour Pros and Callaway-affiliated instructor Phil Kenyon, who works with some of the world's best players.

This technology has helped golfers to win tournaments all over the world, with the black and white high contrast alignment system helping golfers with alignment both at address and throughout the stroke.

It highlights the correct face angle and improves concentration, which the brand says can help you to make more putts.

The White Hot face has been around for decades and is designed to provide optimal feel, sound and performance. The combination of Versa and the White Hot insert has returned by popular demand.

The newest generation of the multi-material Stroke Lab shaft features a shortened steel section which saves seven grams of weight, whilst also being made stiffer and more stable for added consistency to your stroke and performance.

Available from 3rd February, the Versa putters are priced at £279 and are offered in a number of different head shapes: One, Double Wide, Three T, Seven DB, Seven S, Twelve DB, Twelve S, Twelve CS.

Joining the Versa models this year are a number of new head shapes in the Tri-Hot 5K putters, which were first introduced last year and were all about providing high-MOI in a blade.

This year, Odyssey are adding mallets into the mix. Using the same Tri-Hot formula as last year, the new models have added tungsten to raise the inertia (MOI) of the head to more than 5000 IZZ as well as moving the CG forward, which Odyssey are saying results in more forgiveness and better performance.

The putters are built to reduce the amount of side spin on off-centre hits, which should help putts stay closer to their original line and reduce dispersion to give golfers more chance of holing putts.

This is achieved thanks to a 303 stainless steel front section including the hosel and the face area. The back section of the putter is milled to a precise shape and weight to ensure that the CG remains forward.

Up to 120g of tungsten behind the face in the toe and the heel of the putter heads provides the forgiveness, whilst moving the CG forward in the head gets the ball rolling faster and smoother.

The weights are available in 5, 10, 15 and 20 grams and are interchangeable, allowing golfers to dial in the head weight to suit their exact preference and swing characteristics.

After a few years of experimentation, Odyssey have returned with the classic White Hot insert and this also combines with a slightly updated Stroke Lab shaft.
