The Garmin Approach S20 is the latest watch in the GPS giant's wearable tech offering bringing you distance information, shot tracking and activity monitoring in an easy to use lightweight design.
Pre-loaded with information for more than 40,000 courses worldwide the Approach S20 uses high-sensitivity GPS to clearly display precise distances to the front, back and middle of the green. A new graphic user interface uses easy-to-read numbers as well as showing the green layout from your actual angle of attack.
You also get distance information to bunkers, water hazards and other forms or trouble as well as layup yardages and doglegs. The Garmin Green View feature allows you to manually position the pin to that days' location for increased accuracy and the clear, sunlight readable display means you can use the device easily in any conditions.
The Approach S20 also incorporates Garmin's AutoShot feature which recognises when you have taken a shot and automatically calculates the distance so you can easily keep track of their performances without any extra effort.
All of this data can be uploaded through a Garmin Connect account allowing you to visualise your game and relive each round on a vivid course view map. Stats like average distance for each club, longest drive, and hole by hole data for courses you play regularly allow you to spot trends in your game and plan any practice. The S20 also pairs with Garmin's TruSwing golf club sensor to provide you with in-depth swing metrics to identify areas of improvement and record progress.
Lightweight and stylish the Approach S20 is suitable for everyday wear and daily activity tracking, monitoring daily steps, calories burned, distance moved as well as sleep patterns make it ideal for those with an interest in fitness. The device will also pair with your smartphone to receive notifications for calls, texts and emails allowing you to stay straight from your watch.
The Garmin Approach S20 has no additional fees or subscriptions and the rechargeable lithium ion battery is good for up to 15 hours in GPS mode and up to 8 weeks in watch mode with activity tracking.
