Cobra has unveiled the King Oversized Hybrid to complement the King Oversized irons it launched last year.
The King OS Hybrid boasts a large profile and improved performance technologies designed to make it an easy to hit long iron replacement giving players looking for assistance more distance and maximum forgiveness.
The shape of the oversized clubhead helps to improve confidence at address and provide high launch and maximum MOI, resulting in a straighter and forgiving ball flight.
This combines with a larger Cobra PWRShell face that increases the size of the sweet spot to maintain speed and distance on off-centre strikes.
It does this by flexing more at impact to create the extra speed and promote a higher launching ball flight from all points of contact on the clubface.
The King OS Hybrid also incorporates Internal Tungsten Weighting that allows for the CG to be located deep and low within a TeXtreme Carbon Fibre Crown, which itself saves 8g of weight compared to traditional steel hybrid crowns, allowing for higher launching, lower spinning shots from a variety of lies.
Other features will be familiar to fans of Cobra. The King OS hybrid is fitted with the company's MyFly8 and Smart Pad adjustability technologies, which help golfers dial in their desired trajectory and fine tune launch conditions to maximise distance, while keeping the clubface square at address regardless of loft setting.
