Callaway's Big Bertha range is one of the most long-standing and recognisable in the world of golf equipment, and in recent years it has shifted to become more of a 'game improvement' range which sits alongside the brand's mainline offering.
This year is no different. January brought us the Paradym range, which is racking up wins almost every week on the professional tours thanks mostly to Jon Rahm.
Now Callaway are introducing Big Bertha and Big Bertha REVA 2023, engineered for both male and female golfers who are looking for more confidence, easy launch and more forgiveness when they tee it up.
Big Bertha 2023 Range
Big Bertha 2023 Driver
The new Big Bertha Driver is designed with an ultra-low forward CG for golfers who are looking to reduce their slice for straighter distance and an easier launch. There is also extra weight added to the heel, to help promote more of a draw shape.
There is a new 'XL Face' with a larger sweet spot along with Callaway's AI technology, designed to optimise speed and spin across the face, whilst a new lightweight Jailbreak system delivers stability and fast ball speeds across the face.
The driver has a stretched profile and forgiving head shape to promote maximum forgiveness, and the triaxial carbon crown and lightweight components make it easy to swing.
The driver is priced at an RRP of £499 and is available in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees.
Big Bertha 2023 Fairway
The fairway woods have been optimised for golfers seeking more forgiveness, with an oversized profile and shallow face design inspiring more confidence at address whilst helping to produce an easy high launch.
There are also progressively shorter shaft lengths depending on loft to promote more consistent contact, giving golfers better results more often.
Jailbreak with Batwing Technology is said to stabilise the body, allowing for more face flex to add power and improve ball speeds, while each face is uniquely designed throughout the fairway range to optimise performance.
Adjustability on both the 3 and 5 wood models allows players to dial in launch and spin to suit their own game.
The Big Bertha Fairways are priced at £349 and available in 3W, 5W, 7W, 9W, and Heavenwood.
Big Bertha 2023 Hybrid
The Big Bertha hybrids are designed for golfers who prefer hybrids over long irons. They have a large, high volume shape which provides plenty of forgiveness, producing a hybrid which is extremely easy to hit. The addition of more offset is designed to reduce a slice and side spin, giving you straighter and longer shots.
Tungsten is positioned inside the head to encourage more forgiveness and a higher launch, while lightweight components promote easy launch and an adjustable hosel allows golfers the chance to dial in their ball flight.
The hybrid is priced at £279 and is available from 3H to 9H.
Big Bertha 2023 Irons
The Big Bertha irons utilise precision tungsten weighting in order to improve both launch and control. There is up to 11g of external tungsten added which focuses on forgiveness, whilst up to 43g of internal tungsten is there to create high-launching long irons with easy to control short irons.
The Big Bertha shape has been refined to give golfers plenty of confidence when they look down on the iron at address. Each iron has been designed with thicker toplines, wider soles, enhanced offset and longer blade lengths for more forgiveness and a straight ball flight.
The Big Bertha irons now come in a new Black Smoke finish, which is ultra-durable and is designed to look premium in the bag.
Available from 4-SW, a 7 iron set is priced at £1149 (£1299 with graphite shafts).
Big Bertha REVA 2023 Range
Big Bertha REVA 2023 Driver
The Big Bertha REVA drivers are designed specifically for female golfers, with the lofts, swingweights, shafts and the XL face all designed to provide confidence, high launch and distance.
They are built to provide maximum forgiveness and distance in an easy-to-launch distance. They have a generous, stretched-out profile at address and forgiving head shape, while the XL Face increases the sweet spot with AI technology optimising speed and spin across the face.
The Big Bertha REVA Driver is priced at £499 and is available in 10.5 and 12.5 degrees.
Big Bertha REVA 2023 Fairway
Specifically designed for women, the REVA fairways are designed to be the easiest to hit in Callaway's entire range.
The oversized profile and shallow face design look friendly at address with a high, easy launch. The fairways also offer progressively shorter shaft lengths for more consistent contact and improved launch and carry.
They are priced at £349 and available in 3W, 5W, 7W, 9W, and Heavenwood.
Big Bertha REVA 2023 Hybrids
The Big Bertha REVA hybrids are designed for golfers who prefer hybrids over long irons. The large, high volume head shape provides more forgiveness for a hybrid which is easy to hit, while enhanced offset helps to reduce a slice and side spin for a straight, long ball flight.
Precision tungsten is positioned internally to deliver more forgiveness and a high launch, with lightweight components making it easy-to-swing and an adjustable hosel giving you the chance to optimise ball flight.
Available from 4H to 9H, the Big Bertha REVA is priced at £279.
Big Bertha REVA 2023 Irons
Like the rest of the range, the REVA irons have been developed specifically for women, with lofts, swingweights, shafts and even the use of tungsten designed to provide confidence, high launch and more distance.
There is up to 11g of external tungsten added which focuses on forgiveness, whilst up to 43g of internal tungsten is there to create high-launching long irons with easy to control short irons.
Each iron is designed with thicker toplines, wider soles, enhanced offset and longer blade lengths to create forgiveness and a straight ball flight.
Available from 5-SW, they are available in graphite shafts only and priced at £1299 for a 7-club set.
