A decade has passed since Callaway first introduced the Apex to their iron lineup, designed to provide a blend of sleek looks and forged feel with the kind of distance and forgiveness that every golfer could use.

Their latest generation has seen the brand go back to the drawing board and produce a new look, along with a cleaner naming system, in two new iron models - the Apex Ai200 and the Apex Ai300.

This new generation has been designed with a focus on three key areas: an elevated look and feel, premier performance, and superior consistency.

Callaway Apex Ai200 Irons

The new Apex Ai200 irons have been designed for a combination of feel, power and consistency. The hollow-body design produces a players distance iron that blends performance and precision, which replaces the previous Apex 21 iron.

The irons feature a forged cavity-back design combined with a forged 455 face, which Callaway says creates a Tour-level sound and feel. The forged construction combines with a premium design, which has been streamlined this time around with a full hollow body and a cleaner look on the back of the head, compared to the badge or cavity in previous models.

The iron features the same weight plates as seen in the Apex Pro 24 series, with a thinner topline and shorter blade length.

This Forged 455 Face Cup is designed to deliver power right across the face, whilst the use of Ai Smart Face uses real golfer data combined with AI for both speed and spin consistency, with tighter dispersion into the greens.

Strategically positioned MIM weighting inside the head ensures the optimal CG location for optimised launch windows, whilst the Dynamic Sole Design improves turf interaction to provide more forgiveness through the turf.

Callaway Apex Ai300 Irons

The new Apex Ai300 iron will replace the Apex DCB irons and have been designed for feel, power and consistency, with a slightly larger profile to combine performance and forgiveness in game-improvement package.

Compared to the Apex DCB, the Ai300 is a little bit sleeker but still provides more forgiveness, whilst having more offset, longer blade lengths and a thicker topline and sole compared to the Ai200.

The forged cavity-back design combines with a forged 455 face for a Tour-level sound and feel, along with the updated look which has streamlined things.

The Forged 455 Face Cup delivers power across the face to go along with the improved feel, whilst an Ai Smart Face is designed to generate better speed and spin consistency, with better dispersion into the greens on approach shots.

Finally, the strategically positioned MIM weighting ensures optimal CG for better launch numbers, whilst the Dynamic Sole Design enhances turf interaction.

The new Callaway Apex Ai200 and Ai300 Irons will be available at retail from 23rd August, with an RRP of £1199 for 7 irons (4-PW) in steel shafts, and £1299 for graphite shafts.
