When you think of Adidas golf shoes it's probably only natural that the iconic Tour360 is the first model that springs to mind - it has been one of the most popular shoes in the sport for almost 20 years.

The sportswear giants offer a whole host of different shoe models though, from performance-led spiked shoes to casual, lifestyle inspired options too.

This year Adidas are introducing an update to their Codechaos shoe, a 'disruptive performance spikeless' shoe which features eye-catching design as well as technologies to help you perform your best.

The new Codechaos 25 comes with a redesigned outsole and upper, designed to offer more traction and stability, as well as the introduction of BOA technology along with a standard laced model.

The shoe's outsole features a new 3D Torsion plate which aims to give golfers more stability both during the swing and whilst walking on the course. This plate also has the bonus of providing a better overall fit and minimising midfoot bend, which is one of the causes of heel slip.

Adidas have kept the Twistgrip outsole, but it has been updated with a new lug shape which covers a wider area of the sole, resulting in up to a 40% increase in traction compared to previous Codechaos models.

Working with BOA engineers has allowed Adidas to incorporate a PerformFit wrap as part of the BOA model in the Codechaos 25 range. Covered by a 'zipper shroud', this wrap is designed to provide a locked-in feel with added stability.

Of course the most important aspect of a golf shoe is that it is comfortable, and Adidas have created a new hybrid midsole which combines both Boost and Lightstrike technologies. Boost focuses on energy return and cradling the foot, while Lightstrike sits around the rim of the midsole to offer stability and comfort during the swing.

The shoe's upper is made of a durable, multi-layer knit which is designed to offer golfers additional flexibility. The bottom layer, close to the foot, features a soft and moisture-wicking material for added comfort throughout the duration of a round.

The middle layer is an open structure to provide flexibility, while the outer layer is a sporty mesh to enhance the layers beneath. There is also a transparent PU film on top to provide waterproof protection.

The new Codechaos 25 Shoe will be available for both men and women in laced and BOA models from 1st August, at an RRP of £159.99.
