Golfalot Sponsors Walker Cup Winner David Patrick on Tour

Golfalot is proud to announce that it will be sponsoring Scottish golfer, David Patrick for the next two years.

David was part of the winning Walker Cup side at Nairn in 1999 and turned pro at the end of last season. He made the cut in his first four events last year and played all six rounds of the European Tour final qualifying last year to gain his card for the 2002 European Challenge Tour.

As part of the sponsorship David will carry the Golfalot.com logo on his cap and golf bag. Golfalot have also created a web site for David at www.patrickgolf.com that enables his fans and sponsors to follow his progress on Tour.

Each week David will be updating the site with news from his latest tournament so that you can follow his progress around the world. In addition the site also includes a video of his swing, details of his amateur and professional career, his sponsors, tournament schedule and details of the equipment that David uses on Tour. The site went online during the 2000 season and many fans have already used it to contact David and ask him questions.

David is an keen email and internet user and is delighted to be associated with Golfalot: "I am really pleased to be representing the UK's leading golf site, Golfalot.com. They have created great sites for other players to raise their profile and I am looking forward to reporting back on my results for all my followers to read about."

Martin Hopley, Managing Director of Golfalot is equally excited about the sponsorship: "David is the first player from Edinburgh to turn pro in quite a while and he has had a fantasitc amateur career. Having seen him play first hand on many occasions, I am convinced he has what it takes to have a successful career on the pro tours. David is the fourth player to join Team Golfalot (Justin Rose, Per-Ulrik Johansson and Chris Hanell are the others) and I hope he enjoys the same level of success as these players, both online with his website, and on the course"
