A classic parkland course where visitors can be sure of a warm welcome and a pleasant round Woodlands Manor Golf Club has a deserved reputation as one of the nicest golf clubs in the Garden of England. The course itself lies in valley of the North Downs, easily accessible by the major motorways yet a lifetime away when you start a round on a course of quite stunning tranquility. Keep a special eye out for the Eiger, the 10th hole where your uphill tee shot and the small green really give cause for a shock when people expect the easy, short hole their scorecard suggests. The course was opened in 1932 by Henry Cotton and today it is easily reached by London but offers wonderful golf in a location that feels a hundred miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
