Golf Course Says
The Wobrun Duke's course was the scene of the British Masters for 20 years as well as other top men's and women's professional events. The course was created on some of the finest inland golfing country in Europe. The Duke's course was designed Charles Lawrie in 1974 when the late 14th Duke of Bedford decided to bring golf to the Woburn Estate. The fairways of the Woburn Duke's course are lined with pine, silver birch and chestnut trees. The famous third hole is framed by rhododendron bushes and has recently been voted in the World's Top 500 Holes by Golf Magazine. Heather, bracken and gorse add to the charm of the course as well as the natural hazards of each hole.
Media Reviews
Todays GolferHard to find fault. The par 3 3rd takes most of the plaudits. To score well you've got to hit it arrow straight with every single club in the bag.
