Golf Course Says
Winterfield Golf Course opened as a municipal course for Dunbar in 1935 and the layout familiar to today's golfers was created when the course reopened in 1946 following World War Two. Today the course is another fine example of the quality links courses that abound in East Lothian. Today Winterfield Golf Course measures 5155 yards and has a par of 65. Visitors are welcomed throughout the year with only minimal restrictions at the weekend.
Media Reviews
GreenFreeWinterfield Golf Course enjoys a combination of low annual rainfall and proximity to the sea and is seldom affected by snow or frost, guaranteeing golf all year round. A feature of the course is the imposing clubhouse which is visible on the skyline as one approaches the town from the west.

I try to play this course at least once a year. The earlier reviews seem a little harsh. This is a lovely course with its own little nuances, and stunning views toward the Bass Rock, especially at the back of the 14th green - my favourite hole on this course.

Winterfield Golf Course was an adequate little course which is made more challenging by the ever present wind! Lots of long par 3's especially the first which sees you 'drive' over a valley! Greens and fairways unfortunately not the best. Greens at Winterfield Golf Course can be like concrete and fairways often overgrown but not too bad and fairly enjoyable.

Winterfield Golf Course is a fun little course. Very short but with some great holes along the coast line. Front nine is a bit back and forth but the back nine takes you down towards the coast and when the wind blows it can make for some interesting club selection. Winterfield Golf Club is good value for money.
