Windyhill Golf Club lies on the outskirts of Bearsden and is easily accessible from the centre of Glasgow. The course offers a good variety of moorland and parkland and lies on the lower slopes of the Kilpatrick Hills. The course suits all golfers and the views vary from the skyline of Greater Glasgow to the rustic beauty of Ben Lomond and the Campsie Hills. Windyhill Golf Club has a par of 71 from the white tees and Andrew McArthur holds both the professional and amateur course record of 62.

GreenFreeJames Braid, 5 times winner of the British Open, designed Windyhill Golf Club which is unusual in that the turf is somewhere between moorland and parkland in texture. There are a number of stiff two-shooters among the holes, resulting in a par of 71.
