GreenFreeWidnes Golf Course is short by modern standards and it is quite a feat of planning that an 18 hole golf course can fit into an area of under 70 acres. This dictated a strategy centred largely on the planting of trees and the skilful use of naturally occurring features such as ponds and ditches.
Todays GolferShort, tight parkland with good variety. Be wary of the streams that runs across and along the holes nearest the clubhouse.
