Golf Course Says
West Hove Golf Club was founded in 1910 and was originally situated on the boundary between Hove and Portslade however construction of the 'Brighton by-pass' in 1991 forced the Club had to relocate. Now set in the midst of the South Downs, West Hove Golf Club resides in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and has been included in 2010 into the new South Downs National Park.
The challenging 18-hole, par 70, golf course is laid out over rolling chalk downland which ensures excellent year round playing conditions and provides a great test of golf for players of all abilities. Constructed to USPGA specifications and with modern irrigation West Hove maintains the highest standard and you finish your round at the 617 yard par 5 18th hole, which claims to be the longest in Sussex.
