Wernddu Golf Club is, to borrow that much overused cliche from another sport, a real game of two halves with a long front nine contrasting with a shorter back nine to provide real variety in the round. The Usk Valley and the famed seven hills of Abergavenny provide a stunning backdrop to a family run golf course where the welcome is as warm as the golf is enjoyable. The course measures just over 5500 yards, the course make judicious but effective use of water and the par three finishing hole is one of the most memorable in the area. Wernddu Golf Club became a full 18 hole course in the mid 1990's and makes excellent use of the fine natural landscape that was once home to a fruit farm.
