Golf Course Says
If you fly into Stornoway you will land on the site of the orgininal course at Stornoway Golf Club: What is now the airport was the course until the Air Ministry took over the land during the Second World War. The current 18 hole course in the Lews Castle estate with panoramic vistas across the harbour and the Minch opened in 1947. Today Stornoway Golf Club is relatively short course that still demands the attention of every level of golfer with its mature trees and plentiful hazards.
