The St Mellion Kerno is a wonderful companion for the stunning Jack Nicklaus signature course. The course first opened in 1976 but after many years in the shadow of its more glamourous sibling. The St Mellion Kernow course retains the best nine holes from the original St Mellion Old course combining them with 9 new holes designed by Alan Leather who brilliantly delivered on the design brief of retaining the very best of St Mellion Old while creating a Kernow course that keeps pace with modern developments in the game. The result is a 36 hole golf complex that now offers two world class courses, the revamped St Mellion Kernow fully deserving of its place alongside the Nicklaus Signature course.
