The championship course at Spey Valley, part of the Macdonald Aviiemore Highland Resort, is a stunning course that, since opening in 2006, has become a firm favourite of everyone who has played it. The course borrows elements from all the great layouts, links, parkland, heathland and woodland, to create 18 holes of unrivalled variety and grandeur. Dave Thomas designed the Spey Valley golf course and from the start of the project that respected and experienced course designer felt that Spey Valley may be the crowning glory of his stunning years in course design. Few who have played the course, already a European Challenge Tour venue, would disagree with his assessment. As you would expect from a course in the stunning Spey Valley the views are spectacular, this is golf played with a back drop that is cinematic in its drama and beauty.
