I played South Leeds Golf Course back in August 2004, before all the wet weather, it has improved a great deal since my last visit 6 months earlier, which nearly put me off the course forever. At last South Leeds Golf Course had chainsawed the overgrown jungle between the 2nd Tee and the fairway. The Trees were 6ft taller than the marker post, anything less lofted than a 7 iron from the Yellow Tees was doomed. The greens were also much improved, making them a test of golf and not just luck. South Leeds Golf Course is set up on a hill above the city of Leeds, and some holes overlook the White Rose shopping centre, so on a windy day the course is fairly exposed. Overall at £16 a round, but with 2-Fore!-1 vouchers £8 each, South Leeds Golf Course is excellent VFM.
