Sandburn Hall Golf Club

Sandburn Hall golf course opened in June 2005, having allowed the golf course a year to mature before the first ball was struck. The 6700 yard, Par 72 Sandburn Hall course has been designed to challenge golfers of all abilities as it weaves its way through beautiful Yorkshire streams, lakes and woodland.

Sandburn Hall golf course is a very impressive set up, although the quality of the course probably does not do justice to the standard of the clubhouse which is excellent. Given the space available the layout of the holes is not bad. The fairways are very generous which means it is very easy off the tee, but the bunkers are more like hollows with sand rather than actual hazards, which poor bunker players will like. In its favour the Sandburn Hall golf course only opened in 2005 and when the rough and trees grow in it could be more challenging. The greens were in very good condition when we played and the ones protected by water needed some careful thought for approach shots. An ideal course for beginners and those looking for a relaxed game.
